(GSM) – Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder is a doubt for Wednesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League return leg with world champions Barcelona. Jose Mourinho’s Champions League semi-finalists have received this blow on Saturday.
The Holland international was substituted at half-time during Inter’s 3-1 Serie A win over Atalanta. Sneijder is out with a thigh problem.
Inter have only confirmed that the player will be further assessed in the coming days without identifying the severity of the injury.
Jose Mourinho will certainly be hoping his midfield star will be fit for the Camp Nou clash.
“Wesley Sneijder has undergone a medical check-up which showed a muscle tweak in his left thigh,” Inter said in a statement.
“The condition of the Dutch midfielder will be monitored in the next 48 hours.”
