Although Italian newspapers were certain that Wesley Sneijder was on the verge of joining Inter Milan the Dutch midfielder is likely to stay at his club, Real Madrid.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport stated that Sneijder would sign a 4-year-contract with the Italian champion on Tuesday but the Dutch international is keen to stay at Madrid.
Although Real Madrid told Sneijder that it’s better for him to leave the club, the 25-year old playmaker remains at his decision to stay.
His decision to refuse a transfer is generally based on a conversation with his coach Manuel Pellegrini. The new manager of Los Blancos told him that he wants him to stay at Madrid.
Meanwhile, the direction of the club does anything to get rid of Sneijder. Defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra took over his number (10) and the Dutchman lost his usual spot in the dressing room of Estadio Bernabeu.
