(GSM) – Jose Mourinho will have to do without Wesley Sneijder on Sunday. Inter Milan’s playmaker misses the home match against Fiorentina due to a thigh injury.
Sneijder suffered the injury on international duty with the Netherlands, two weeks ago. His thigh problem caused him to pull out of the friendlies with Italy (0-0) and Paraguay (0-0). Inter boss Mourinho thought Sneijder could play against Barcelona earlier this week but seeing as he only took part in the final training session, the Portugese manager thought better of risking him.
Inter are now working on the basis that Sneijder will play a bit part role against Juventus on December 5 and then the full game against Rubin Kazan four days after, which is crucial to their hopes of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.
