Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder has moved to deny reports linking him with a January exit by saying that he planned to remain at Giuseppe Meazza.
The Dutch midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, but he eventually decided to stay with the Neroazurri.
Sneijder recently returned into action following a two-month spell on the sidelines, and he is now eased back into the squad by Claudio Ranieri.
The player reveals that he is happy at Inter and that he doesn’t want to leave the club.
“I am in good shape and I feel well,” Sneijder told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “The future? I stay at Inter, I feel good here.
“How much is left until the end of this transfer window? A week, no? I’m staying here.”
Sneijder has three and a half years left on his deal at Giuseppe Meazza and it looks as though he won’t be leaving Italy any time soon.
Due to the aforementioned injury lay-off, the player only started five Serie A games this season, scoring one goal in the process.
The Netherlands international made two substitute appearances since recovering from injury and is soon expected to return to the starting line-up.
