Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder looks set to return to action much sooner than he thought.
The Dutch midfielder damaged his left knee ligament against Arsenal in the Emirates Cup and it was believed he would not return to action before the start of 2009.
But Real Madrid doctors now believe the Dutchman will be ready for action in three to four weeks.
Sneijder has been working hard in the gym for the last ten days and it seems like his knee is recovering well, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
Real Madrid coaches will now increase Sneijder’s workload in the coming weeks so that he will be ready to return in three to four weeks.
Sneijder said during his rehabilitation: “There is no way I will be out for three months.â€Â
