Trinidad and Tobago have beaten Panama 1-0 in Wednesday’s friendly, used to prepare for upcoming World Cup qualifiers in the Concacaf zone.

The only goal of the match came in the 74th minute. Substitute Errol MacFarlane was fouled in the penalty area by Carlos Rivera and a penalty was the result. Cornell Glenn took the spot kick and made no mistake.

Trinidad and Tobago are one of six teams in the final stage of the North and Central American qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup. On March 28th, the ‘Soca Warriors’ host Honduras and the United States await four days later.

Star player Dwight Yorke is banned for four qualifiers, leaving T&T with a tough challenge in the coming months.
