Real Sociedad could be signing talented midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos on loan from Barcelona, El Mundo Deportivo has revealed.
La Real face a midfield crisis after summer signing Esteban Granero has been ruled out for six months with a knee problem.
They are, therefore, eager to sign another central midfielder and look set to reignite their interest in Mexican midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos.
La Real are set to open talks with Barcelona officials regarding a season-long loan for the 23-year-old, and they are keen to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible.
The Catalans opted against sending the player on loan in the summer transfer window, but they could change their minds after Dos Santos only made one substitute appearance this season.
It appears that boss Gerardo Martino will make the final decision, while there are no doubts the footballer himself would jump at the opportunity to join Real Sociedad, even if he wouldn’t be able to play in the Champions League group stages.
After losing their opening Champions League clash to Shakhtar, La Real are 11/4 to turn things around and qualify for the knockout stages.
