Song eyeing Premier League return

Barcelona midfielder Alex Song looks set for a return to the Premier League this summer, according to the Express.

The 26 year old, who has failed to hold down a regular first team place with the Catalan club since arriving from Arsenal in the summer of 2006.

He has started just nine times in the league this season, and recently told French television that, should he leave the La Liga champions, it would be to return to England.

The Cameroon international spent seven seasons under Arsene Wenger, making one-hundred and fifty appearances in the English top flight before being sold for £15m.

The former Bastia man, who is set to feature at this summer’s World Cup finals, would relish a return to the Emirates Stadium, though it is champions Manchester United who have been linked with a move as David Moyes looks to continue rebuilding his squad for next season.
