Song in talks over Barcelona exit

Barcelona midfielder Alex Song could soon be leaving Camp Nou, Catalan daily newspaper Sport has suggested.

The Cameroon star spent the previous season on loan at West Ham and he is now close to returning to Boleyn Ground.

The Hammers are desperate to secure the signature of the central midfielder and new coach Slaven Bilic recently admitted Song could arrive in the coming days.

Sport has learned that the midfielder has flown to Barcelona for talks with the club officials as he wants to know what are club’s plans regarding his contract.

Song has another two years left on his deal at Camp Nou, and there is a good chance he will be sold to West Ham in the summer transfer window.

After failing to secure regular playing time at Barcelona, the 27-year-old signed a season-long loan deal with the Hammers and went on to make 28 Premier League appearances for the club.
