Song interested in Arsenal return

Daily Star is reporting that Barcelona midfielder Alex Song would accept the opportunity to return to the Emirates.

The Gunners are reportedly considering a January move for their former player, who seems to be becoming impatient by the lack of opportunities at Camp Nou.

Despite making three La Liga starts this term, Song is unhappy at playing second fiddle to Sergio Busquets and he could request a transfer in the January window.

The 26-year-old is still held in high regard by top European clubs, meaning there will be no shortage of offers for his services should he become available.

Song was handed his third league start of the season in Saturday’s match against Real Valladolid and the Cameroon international in turn produced a stunning performance.

While doing a lot of defensive work as well, Song attempted 102 passes and successfully completed every one of them for a 100% pass completion rate.
