Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has signed a two-and-a-half year contract extension at the Brittania Stadium on Tuesday.
The Danish shot-stopper tweeted: “Just signed a new contract this morning. Proud to be a Potter for another two and a half years.”
The 35-year-old was Tony Pulis’ first choice-keeper during their successful first season back in the Premier League in 2008-09, but soon found himself constrained to the substitute’s bench following Asmir Begovic’s emergence into the first team.
Sorensen did play in last season’s FA Cup final defeat, having featured throughout the competition.
However, the former Sunderland man has reclaimed the number one jersey after a dip in form from Begovic.
