Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Napoli are considering moves for Serie A starlets Roberto Soriano and Sime Vrsaljko.
The Azzurri initially made Allan and Matteo Darmian their primary targets, but chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has refused to splash out €40 million for the two Serie A stars.
As a result, Napoli have turned their attention to Roberto Soriano and Sime Vrsaljko, who are seen as much cheaper alternatives to aforementioned footballers.
The Sampdoria midfielder has matured a great deal over the last few years and he was in fine form last term, scoring 4 goals in 33 Serie A outings.
Meanwhile, Sime Vrsaljko enjoyed another strong campaign, this time with Sassuolo, and it is about time he joined a top Italian side.
Napoli have already done some business this summer, recruiting coach Maurizio Sarri and midfielder Mirko Valdifiori from Empoli, while signing Brazilian footballer Jorginho on permanent basis.
