Southampton 13/5 to draw against Newcastle in Saturday’s meeting

Southampton host Newcastle this weekend, with both sides having made big changes to their squads during the summer transfer window. The Saints spent considerably more than their Saturday opponents, but both teams have very good individual capable of producing the goods to get results.

Ronald Koeman’s men thrashed Newcastle 4-0 in their last league meeting against the Toon Army, but this weekend’s clash promises to be a bit closer as both sides are still figuring out their best eleven. Ladbrokes are giving odds of 13/15 for Southampton and Newcastle to draw, as United playing away from home will be hoping to make life difficult for the home side, rather than go all out for three points at a tricky ground.

Southampton, currently eighth, have started the better of the two teams this season, taking four points from their first three games. Newcastle are still waiting for their first league win of the campaign, and have just two points so far. A win for the latter could put them in seventh place, however.
