Competition: Premier League
Market: Southampton
Odds: 4/6 @ William Hill
With Southampton defender Dejan Lovren having left the club to join Liverpool this summer, the Saints have lost another key member of their successful squad in 2013/14, that could now see them finishing in the bottom half of the table as a result.
A large scale exodus has seen the club lose their manager Mauricio Pochettino, along with a host of talented players – Calum Chambers, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert, while Morgan Schneiderlin has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/6 for the South Coast outfit to miss out on a top-half place due to the large amount of influential players having left this summer.
While manager Ronald Koeman has tried to replace with other talented individuals, but it always takes time to gel in the new recruits which could lead to them greatly struggling. Especially considering they’ve lost two of their biggest goal contributors and the man marshalling the defence.
Bet: Southampton to finish bottom half of the table this season @ 4/6 with William Hill >>
