Southampton welcome Inter Milan to St Mary’s in the Europa League tonight, and are favourites to pick up all three points with the Saints home form being formidable this season, compared to the woes of Inter who lost four times in October.
Hosts Southampton find themselves second in Group K with four points from three games, but are without a win in their last two. They lost to Inter Milan in the reverse fixture at the San Siro but have a good record on home soil in all competitions which should see them come out on top.
The Saints won at St Mary’s in their Europa League opener, and won two of their last three home league games too. Inter Milan have suffered a number of defeats in recent weeks and are likely to come unstuck as a result of off-field distractions and poor form.
Inter have lost two of their three Europa League group games, while being beaten four times in their previous five league outings in October, and are underdogs tonight as a result. Currently bottom of Group K, defeat at St Mary’s could spell disaster for the Italians, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 5/6 for Southampton to come out on top as a result.
