Southampton have indicated that they have accepted a bid amounting to £25 million from Everton for the services of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to Evening Standard.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with the Toffees throughout the season, as well as with Tottenham Hotspur. An interest from Manchester City has also been mentioned in the press, but the general feeling has always been that the race would be decided between Everton and Spurs.
The reports suggests that the north Londoners are now under pressure to increase their own offer, which is believed to stand well bellow anything the Saints would agree to at the moment.
Spurs were hoping to include Kyle Walker-Peters into a potential deal, but Southampton want the two deals done separately as they aim to secure the services of the right-back, currently at St Mary’s on loan, even if Spurs miss out on Hojbjerg. Walker-Peters is apparently confident about the deal happening either way.
