Southampton host Manchester City at St Mary’s in the Premier League on Saturday evening, in a game that could be close to call given the underdogs and hosts are the form side, while the favourites and visitors have struggled for consistency in recent weeks.

Claude Puel’s Southampton side are currently ninth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 30 games, coming off the back of two wins and a draw from their last three. The Saints have won two and drawn one of their previous four games at St Mary’s and earned a point against the Sky Blues when they met earlier in the season.

As for the visitors, Manchester City find themselves fourth in the division with 61 points, having won just one of their last five games. Pep Guardiola’s side have picked up just one point from their previous two away outings and will be somewhat vulnerable as a result.

Southampton and Manchester City drew in the reverse fixture back in October, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 2/1 for the two sides to play out another stalemate this weekend.
