QPR winger Matt Phillips could become the subject of a bidding war between Southampton and West Brom, the Daily Mirror has suggested.
The 24-year-old has been one of Rangers’ star performers this season and his impressive displays did not go unnoticed.
With QPR very close to suffering relegation to the Championship, Matt Phillips looks set to leave Loftus Road for greener pastures.
The Daily Mirror claims that Southampton and West Bromwich are showing interest in his services and could come forward with official bids in the coming weeks.
The Scotland international joined Rangers in a £5 million move from Blackpool two years ago and he largely impressed in his second ever Premier League campaign.
Phillips managed 2 goals and 7 assists in 21 Premier League outings, but it looks as though his good performances won’t be enough to keep QPR in the top division.
West Brom appear to be leading the chase at the moment, having also attempted to sign the winger in January.
