Southampton have completed the permanent signing of Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea, according to the Mail Online.
The full-back moved to St Mary’s on loan in the summer, and has so far made twenty-seven appearances for the clubs in all competitions, scoring in the wins over both Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers.
Prior to his move to the South Coast, he had temporary spells with Bournemouth, Oldham Athletic, Norwich City, Reading, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
In nine years at Stamford Bridge, the 25 year old racked up fifty-six appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and was part of the squad that won the FA Cup and Champions League in 2012 and the Europa League the following year.
Southampton remain in fourth place in the Premier League despite losing at home to Swansea City last time out, and can now be backed at 9/4 to finish in the Champions League qualification places.
