Southampton are interested in signing Husein Balic from LASK Linz in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. However, the Premier League outfit are not the club who are interested in the 24-year-old winger. Brentford in the Championship are following the Austrian winger, while Scottish Premiership giants have targeted the left-winger in recent months.
According to The Daily Mail, Balic has scored four goals in 11 appearances for LASK Linz so far this season. The report has added that the winger could be prised away from his Austrian club for just £2.8 million in the January transfer window even though he is under contract until 2024.
Southampton are doing well in the Premier League at the moment and find themselves at the top of the standings with 16 points from eight matches, level on points with defending champions Liverpool, who have played seven games. As for Brentford, the Bees are 11th in the Championship table with 16 points from 11 matches.
