Southampton are considering a move for Monaco forward Stevan Jovetic, according to the Mirror.
The Montenegro international joined the Ligue 1 champions on a four-year deal in the summer but already finds himself way down the pecking order in Leonardo Jardim’s squad.
He has started just three league games with his one and only goal for the club so far coming in a 4-0 win over Lille back in September.
Prior to his move to Monaco Jovetic was loaned to Sevilla from Inter Milan, who he joined on a permanent basis from Manchester City in the summer of 2016.
During his time at Manchester City he made thirty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring eleven goals, winning the Premier League title and League Cup along the way.
Southampton have scored just nine goals since Mauricio Pellegrino was appointed manager in the summer and currently sit just four points above the bottom three.
