Premier League outfit Southampton are keeping close tabs on FC Porto starlet Juan Quintero, according to Daily Mail.
The Saints have enjoyed a promising start to the new campaign, but they do lack some quality options in the centre of the park and aim to address the issue in the January window.
The Daily Mail has learned that Southampton are pondering a swoop for FC Porto attacking midfielder Juan Quintero, who has been on Ronald Koeman’s radar for almost a year.
After showing a great deal of potential playing for Pescara and the Colombia national team, the 22-year-old largely struggled for first team football at Estadio do Dragao and was eventually loaned out to Rennes in the summer.
But, having since made mere four appearances for les Bretons, there is a chance the loan deal will be cut short in the winter, in which case Ronald Koeman would probably attempt to lure him to St Mary’s.
