Sky Sports is reporting that Premier League high-flyers Southampton are considering a January move for FC Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi.
The Saints manager Ronald Koeman appears to be in the market for defensive reinforcements and he is hoping to get reunited with the player he coached at Feyenoord.
However, with Martins Indi only joining FC Porto in the summer and his release clause standing at €40 million, chances are in would take a substantial offer to prize the Netherlands international away from Estadio do Dragao in the January window.
The 22-year-old has managed to make an instant impact since joining the Dragons from Feyenoord, having started 14 league matches and scored two goals in the process.
Despite his fragile age, Martins Indi is already regarded an important member of the Netherlands national team and after taking part at the 2014 World Cup, he has started three Euro 2016 qualifiers for Oranje.
