The Telegraph is reporting that Southampton are weighing up January bids for England internationals Daniel Sturridge and Theo Walcott.
The Saints are set to receive £75 million from the sale of Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool and they plan to reinvest some of the money into new signings.
Southampton are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after scoring mere 20 goals in as many Premier League fixtures and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is their number one target.
According to reports, the Saints hope to sign the 28-year-old on loan until the end of the season.
At the same time, Southampton are considering a move for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, another high-profile footballer who has struggled for playing time this season.
