According to a recent report from The Athletic, Jesse Marsch is being considered for the vacant managerial spot at Southampton.
In the wake of their defeat to Wolves at the weekend, Southampton Football Club opted to sack Nathan Jones. It was a decision that had seemingly been coming for quite some time, even though he’d only been at the club for four months.
On the flip side, Jesse Marsch was also relieved of his duties recently as he left his position at Leeds United.
The American hasn’t been able to steady the ship for the boys from Yorkshire and because of that, he was deemed surplus to requirements.
Alas, it doesn’t appear as if he’s 100% done with his venture in English football just yet, with the Saints looking towards him as a potential solution for their current problems on the pitch.
It feels like a risk and given their position in the table, it’s a decision they need to get right.
