Southampton in shock Depay link

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has refused to rule out a move for Manchester United forward Memphis Depay, according to the Express.

The twenty-one year old moved to Old Trafford less than four months ago, and has struggled to hit the ground running managing just one goal in eight league appearances.

He has scored a further three times in the Champions League, but his relegation to the bench for Saturday’s 3-0 win over Everton has already led to speculation that he could move on.

Koeman knows Depay well from the pairs respective time in the Eredivise, with the Saints boss managing Feyendord while United’s number seven was plying his trade with PSV Eindhoven, and even expressing his desire to secure his services before his big money move went through in the summer.

The Netherlands international could return to Louis van Gaal’s line-up for Wednesday’s Champions League clash at CSKA Moscow and can be backed at 5/2 to score at any time.
