Premier League outfit Southampton have been showing interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Hatem Ben Arfa.
The former Newcastle United hotshot snubbed quite a few top clubs to join the Saints in the summer, but he has had a difficult start to the career at Parc des Princes.
Ben Arfa has already clashed with new head coach Unai Emery over the lack of playing time and he is now being heavily linked with a winter exit.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Southampton are considering a January move on the France international and it is easy to understand why.
Namely, it was current Saints manager Claude Puel that helped Ben Arfa get his career back on track as the pair worked together at Nice last season, and the former Lyon boss hopes he can persuade the midfielder to join him at St Mary’s as well.
After bagging 17 league goals last term, Hatem Ben Arfa has failed to register a single goal in four Ligue 1 outings this season.
