Premier League clubs Southampton and Leicester City are hot on the trail of Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, according to Radio Monte Carlo.
The Ivorian footballer has played a key role in helping les Aiglons mount a serious title challenge in Ligue 1, scoring 6 goals in 29 league appearances, and catching the eye of top sides in the process.
Radio Monte Carlo has learned that Premier League outfits Southampton and Leicester City are ready to step up interest in the 25-year-old midfielder, although it seems that Seri will not be moving clubs this summer.
Namely, he has just been offered a new and improved deal by his current employers, who are looking to further increase the amount of his release clause that currently stands at €40 million.
Jean Michael Seri, who had spent some time playing for FC Porto youth sides, joined Nice from Pacos Ferreira two years ago for mere €1 million.
