Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is a man in high demand amongst Premier League clubs, with Brighton leading the way in terms of acquiring his services. However the recent injury to Charlie Austin has prompted Southampton to dip into the striker market, and they have also set their sights on the Frenchman, according to the Guardian.
Dembele has been in fine form for the Scottish champions, despite his struggles for consistent game time. The forward has bagged 21 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for Celtic, and has always had a keen eye for goal.
At just 21-years of age, Dembele still has a lot of room for growth, and a switch to the Premier League would certainly be a great way to accelerate his career.
The Saints meanwhile have scored just 20 times in 20 Premier League games this season, and they will now be without star striker Charlie Austin until February. With just two points separating them from the drop zone, the addition of a forward like Dembele could be the difference between survival and relegation.
