Southampton’s Adam Lallana 4/9 to join Liverpool this summer

Following the news of Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana telling the club he wants a move away from St Mary’s this summer, the 26-year-old is being given odds of 4/9 from Betfair to join Liverpool in the coming weeks.

It’s thought Lallana would like the move completed before the World Cup, and isn’t willing to hand in a transfer request, but Southampton have rejected two bids having been put in for him by Liverpool which means he may have to get forceful in order to push his deal through.

Lallana has enjoyed a brilliant season with the Saints. He scored nine goals and made six assists, playing in every single league game of 2013/14. The academy product created 71 chances and made 157 crosses.

His form has led him to get an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup, and he’s featured in a handful of internationals for the side too – impressing as a makeshift winger.

His value is said to be around £25M, and a deal is expected to go through soon despite the stalling.
