Soouthampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, with right-back Kyle Walker-Peters to move in the other direction, according to Sky Sports.
Hojbjerg has been the object of a race between Spurs and Everton, and Southampton had reportedly accepted a bid from the Toffees for his services, waiting to see if Spurs would follow it up with one of their own. That has now happened and a £15 million base fee has been agreed, with add-ons to come on top of that amount.
The two clubs have apparently also agreed on a deal which will see Walker-Peters move to the St Mary’s, and the initial amount for his signature which the Saints will be paying is set at £12m. Reports, however, vary regarding the personal terms between the 23-year-old defender and Southampton. Some suggest they’ve already been agreed, while Sky Sports claim it is yet to be done.
