(GSM) – Spain have advanced to the final of the European Under-19 Championship following a very convincing 3-1 victory over England.
Daniel Pacheco struck Spain to a 1-0 lead following a low right-winged pass in the 12th minute and Keko doubled the advantage from close range in the 34th.
England were handed new hope when John Bostock pulled one back three minutes later but Noel Blake’s men were unable to push through.
Instead, Spain made it 3-1 three minutes before the hour, as Sergio Canales scored from an indirect free kick. The English defense expected the set-piece to be direct but were surprised by the Spanish variant.
In the final, Spain will play against either tournament hosts France or Croatia, who face off in the other semi final later on Tuesday.
