The first members of the squad that will defend Spain’s European title have arrived at a training camp in Austria.
Not all of the national team’s stars were present though with another influx to follow after Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao contest the Copa del Rey final on Friday.
Real Madrid trio Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso were among the big names present in Schruns in the west of Austria.
Spain have been grouped with Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Croatia at Euro 2012, which kicks off in June.
The training camp will also see Vicente del Bosque’s side cross the border into Switzerland for two friendly matches.
The first sees Spain take on Serbia in St Gallen on Saturday before travelling to Bern to face South Korea on Wednesday.
While Spain are the reigning European champions, they will be without two key players in Poland and Ukraine.
Carles Puyol is ruled out with a knee problem and striker David Villa has not recovered from his fractured leg.
Villa is Spain’s record goalscorer, having netted 51 times in 82 appearances.
