It’s reported that Luciano Spalletti has made a secret deal with Russian top flight club Zenit St. Petersburg. La Gazetta dello Sport claims Spalletti already signed a contract with the Russian giants in October.

Spalletti has been without a club since August. The 50-year-old resigned from his position with Roma after four years in charge. Since then, Spalletti has been linked with several clubs like Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

La Gazetta dello Sport reports that the coach has already signed a two-year deal with Zenit, worth nearly € 8.8 million a season.

His first act as Zenit’s new head coach would be the signing of Roma midfielders David Pizarro and Simone Perrotta.
