It has come to Spanish media’s knowledge that Barcelona and Real Madrid are both keeping a close watch on Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.
The 20-year-old Uruguay midfielder has only joined Bianconeri this summer from Boca Juniors but six appearances in the Italian top flight have been more than enough for the teenager to earn plenty of admirers.
Various Spanish outlets are reporting that Spain’s bitter rivals have set their sights on the player who was part of the deal which saw Carlos Tevez move to Argentina giants back in 2015.
Juventus paid less than €10 to land one of the biggest talents of the South Americas and could choose to cash in on the midfielder who is said to have already ‘tripled’ his value.
Real Madrid are said to have been following the Uruguay midfielder before he even moved to Turin whereas Barcelona are believed to have been impressed by the player’s character and quality during their 3-0 Champions League win over Bianconeri earlier in September.
Bentancur emerged as a surprise first-team member this season for injury-depleted Juventus who faced a number of injuries to their key midfielders early in the campaign.
