Russian giants Spartak Moscow have announced on their official website that they have agreed to sign defender Vladimir Granat from Dynamo Moscow.
The 27-year-old will join his new club on a free transfer when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
After refusing to sign a new contract with Dynamo, the centre-back was dropped from the starting line-up, although he was recently allowed to join Rostov on a short-term loan.
Vladimir Granat has spent the majority of his professional career with Dynamo having joined from Zvezda Irkutsk back in 2005.
The experienced footballer has made a total of 188 appearances in Russian Premier League, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Granat was on the radar of quite a few top sides after deciding to leave Dynamo, but it was Spartak who eventually won the race for his signature.
The player, who can also operate at left-back, has so far earned 9 Russia caps, scoring one goal.
