Sunday’s Russian top clash between Zenit St. Petersburg and Spartak Moscow ended undecided while CSKA Moscow forgot to score against Dinamo in a local derby.

Spartak needed just 12 minutes for Welliton to score the opener at St. Petersburg’s Petrovskij stadium.

Zenit never gave up though and got their reward at just two minutes from the end when Belgian defender Nicolas Lombaerts netted the equaliser.

In Sunday’s other match, CSKA hoped to earn their second win in a row at home against Dinamo, but the two held each other to a goalless draw which leaves both sides with four points from two games.

After two rounds, no Russian team managed to earn the maximum amount of points. Tom Tomsk and Rubin Kazan still have a chance to do so, facing each other on Monday after both won their opening games last week.
