AC Milan forward Luiz Adriano is set to join Russian giants Spartak Moscow, the Russian media outlet Sport Express has learned.
The 29-year-old is reported to have already agreed personal terms with the club and will be officially transferred to the Russian side over the next couple of days, once the January transfer market opens.
The Brazilian will however not move to Russia until 18 January when he will return from Rio de Janeiro.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani flew to Brazil earlier this week to hold a crucial meeting with the player, his agents and representatives of Spartak Moscow.
Adriano will move to Russia for free, as Milan were quite satisfied with the fact they will save as much as €4 million on player’s wages until 2020. Spartak will pay €7 million to the agency which represents the player however.
Luiz Adriano is also set to become the highest paid player at Spartak seeing that he will be earning €3 million a year on a two-and-a-half contract.
