Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Spartak Moscow are set to sign Serbian defender Nikola Maksimovic from Napoli.
The Russian Premier League holders hope to mount another serious title challenge and they are in the market for winter reinforcements.
According to Sky Sport Italia, head coach Massimo Carrera has made Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic their number one target.
The same source has suggested that the two clubs have all but reached an agreement over a six-month loan deal.
Maksimovic, had joined Napoli from Torino on loan with an obligation to buy for €20 million, but he has so far desperately failed to prove his worth at Stadio San Paolo.
