Spartak Moscow have completed the signing of midfielder Romulo from Vasco da Gama, according to the Brazilian club.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in South America and was linked to a number of high-profile clubs, but he eventually opted for the Russian giants.
Vasco da Gama announced on their official website that the player has traveled to Russia to complete an €8 million move to Spartak.
The Brazilian international will sign a four-year deal with the Russian club subject to passing a medical.
The holding midfielder largely impressed while playing for Brazil during the friendly tour in May and June, and he is set to make Mano Menezes’ squad for the 2012 Olympics.
The player who started his career at Vasco da Gama has scored 7 goals in 88 league appearances for the club.
Romulo also has 5 senior caps for the Brazil national team and one international goal to his name.
