Hamilton remain marooned at the foot of the Scottish Premier League table with a 2-1 loss at Dundee United on Thursday.

It was more heartbreak for the struggling club, which looked to have secured an away point before United captain Jon Daly slid in a winning goal two minutes into injury time.

The visitors had gone ahead through Portuguese striker Flavio Paixao in the 26th minute, but David Goodwillie equalised three minutes before first-half injury time.

The result leaves Hamilton seven points and a game in arrears of second-bottom St Mirren, while Dundee’s third straight victory propels them to fifth.
