This weekend’s six Scottish Premier League fixtures have been called off because of wintry weather conditions.
Heavy snowfall has blanketed Scotland for the better part of a week, with seven lower league and Scottish Cup matches also postponed on Tuesday.
“In light of the severe weather conditions across Scotland, which are forecast to continue for some time, all Clydesdale Bank Premier League games have been postponed this weekend, Saturday December 4,” read an SPL statement.
“It is hoped that this early notice of postponement, whilst disappointing, will allow everyone to plan accordingly.”
“New dates for the fixtures will be announced in due course.”
The decision comes after only four top flight games were played last weekend because of wild weather.
The Scottish Football League will wait until Thursday before deciding on whether to postpone its remaining 13 lower league fixtures.
