Celtic have squandered the chance to move to the top of the Scottish Premier League after succumbing to a 3-2 defeat to Inverness.
Neil Lennon’s side conceded after just seven minutes at Caledonian Stadium when Charlie Mulgrew put the ball into his own net, but they were back on level terms within two minutes, with Kris Commons firing past Inverness goalkeeper Ryan Esson.
However, the home side grabbed the lead eight minutes after the break through Grant Munro, before Shane Sutherland volleyed home his side’s third goal to put Inverness in complete control.
Celtic did respond late into stoppage time as Commons grabbed his second for the night from the penalty spot to make it 3-2, but it was little consolation as they lost more ground on title-rivals Rangers.
The loss means Celtic still trail Rangers by one point with four games remaining in the season.
