Lowly Dunfermline gave their fans something to cheer about, as they earned a 4-4 draw at St Mirren in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.
The hosts at St Mirren Park led 4-2 heading into the final 20 minutes, mainly courtesy of a Steven Thompson hat-trick, before a late show from Jim Jeffries’ men.
Liam Buchanan and Andy Kirk both scored late goals for the visitors, to give the bottom side hope of avoiding relegation.
Despite earning a point, though, Dunfermline are six points from second-bottom Hibernian, and safety.
Elsewhere in Scotland, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United all recorded away victories.
Rangers’ Andrew Little netted a brace to add to Sone Aluko’s opener as they coasted to a 3-0 victory at Hearts.
Two own goals helped Aberdeen over the line in a 2-0 triumph over Inverness at Tulloch Calendonian Stadium.
Dundee United sealed a 2-0 win over St Johnstone deep in injury time, with Scott Robertson and John Rankin scoring the goals against their 10-man opponents.
