Hibernian finished the Scottish Premier League season top of the bottom half with a 1-0 win over Dundee on Saturday.
A goal from David Wotherspoon in the 79th minute was enough to secure all three points in the fixture at Easter Road, while a late strike for Aberdeen against Hearts saw them snatch a draw.
Ryan Stevenson had put the 10th-placed side ahead at the Pittodrie Stadium but an own goal from Jamie Hamill after eight minutes levelled the scores.
It means Aberdeen finish the season in eighth place, three points off Hibs in seventh.
In the other game of the day, St Mirren sprung a surprise as they beat ninth-placed Kilmarnock 3-1 at Rugby Park.
John McGinn fired his side ahead after 20 minutes but the lead did not last long, Kris Boyd equalising for Kilmarnock just five minutes later.
Paul McGowan restored St Mirren’s lead with 75 minutes gone before on-loan midfielder Conor Newton’s late effort sealed the points.
