Shortly after West Ham had publically unveiled Gianfranco Zola as their new manager, the news broke that they may have to find a new sponsor.
Travel firm XL who pay West Ham £2.5 million a year to have their name on their shirts announced yesterday that they have gone into administration.
The sponsorship deal was for three years and was only agreed in February. XL have pointed to rising fuel prices and the economic downturn as the reasons for running into financial difficulty.
