Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has moved to reveal Sporting CP’s asking price for Costa Rican forward Bryan Ruiz.

The Lions hoped to cash in on the 32-year-old in the summer transfer window, but the player eventually remained at Estadio Jose Alvalade after rejecting several offers.

He has since been training outside of the first team squad and Sporting CP are determined to offload the player in January.

Considering that Ruiz will be out of contract in June, the Lions would be happy to recoup the €1.3 million invested in him two years ago.

However, there is a chance that the two parties will find an agreement over mutual contract termination.

The Costa Rica hotshot managed a total of 66 Primeira Liga outings for the club, scoring 10 goals.
