Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that Sporting CP will only consider offers in the region of €45 million for star player William Carvalho.
The highly rated central midfielder has long ago become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers, but no club have yet managed to agree a deal with his employers.
And with the likes of Sevilla, Valencia, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and West Bromwich all keen on his services, Sporting CP have informed interested clubs they will only listen to proposals in the region of €45 million.
Having shown a great deal of potential playing for the Lions and Portugal national team, Carvalho is probably worth the money, but there are no guarantees a deal will be agreed this summer.
The 25-year-old will get another chance to impress visiting scouts at the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, where he is expected to star for the Selecao.
