Sporting eyeing Boavista’s Samu

Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are keeping close tabs on Boavista midfielder Fabio Samuel Amorim Silva, according to A Bola.

The Lions have become famous for recruiting young and talented players and giving them a chance to develop in Portugal’s top flight, and they have no plans to discard the aforementioned transfer strategy.

A Bola has learned that Boavista youngster Samu is the latest footballer to have been linked with a move to Estadio Jose Alvalade.

The Lions have watched the talented midfielder on several occasions this season and they reportedly aim to lure him to Lisbon at the end of the current campaign.

Samu has impressed playing for Boavista youth sides, but he has yet to make his first appearance in the Primeira Liga.

The youngster did, however, feature for the senior time this season, having made three appearances in Taca de Liga, starting one game and coming on as a substitute on two more occasions.
