River Plate centre back German Pezzella is being linked with a move to Sporting Lisbon, according to Record.
The Lions are apparently in the market for defensive reinforcements and the Argentine stopper is one of the first names on their wish list.
Record has suggested that Sporting officials have already established initial contact, although it would appear as though River Plate are not prepared to cash in on their prized asset at the moment.
Pezzella has recently signed a new deal until June 2017 with the Millionaires and it is believed he would be available for some €6m-€7m.
The 23-year-old is also followed by clubs from Italy and Spain, and it appears he will be leaving River for greener pastures in the near future.
Pezzella has so far made 36 league appearances for the Argentine giants, scoring 3 goals in the process, while also featuring in 13 Copa Sudamericana games.
